A note from Helen

Greetings campers,
So it’s been a month since my house burned down and I must say I’m glad is isn't as chilly as the first 1987 because I’m not as hardy as I used to be either and the camping was 10 degrees back then. Still the new 1987 camping has also been freezing cold, wet muddy and amazingly windy. And what a joy to sleep in my van with two wet muddy dogs. Good times. I’m so happy to say that my fabulous network of support folks have gotten together and knocked my sister-out-law Lena’s cabin up to the roof. I no longer live in my van, I have a new bed, and my boys Kirk and Weaser have new kennels. Hurray! Life has been a bit of a circus but just the other day I finally got a moment to myself, which I took to mourn my cats Earlene and Ruben Bean. Then I listened to the birds sing. There are blue birds in my bluebird house. After that I worked on drawings of my new straw bale house, which I plan to get started on just as soon as I settle on a design. I just want to say thank you again, for all the love and support. Without you I just don’t know what I would do. Thank you thank you thank you. I’m still feeling it.
Love, love, love,
H.
